Garage Structure Continues on Schedule

As Boston has its first real snowfall of the year, work continues on the new Charlesview garage: a single-level, 110,000 s.f., underground structure that will span two city blocks when complete, as well as provide the foundation support for six buildings above grade.

Work has progressed so that nearly 100 percent of the perimeter concrete footings have been set, formed and poured, and two-thirds of the perimeter garage walls are complete.  Interior footings and elevator pits are ongoing.  Below slab utility work began this week.  With a coordinated effort, aided by the mild winter thus far, construction on the garage proceeds on schedule, with the overall project slightly ahead of schedule for the projected autumn 2013 completion.
